Vintage 1962 SMC Handcrafted Chinese Foo Dogs Guardian Lions Blue Chalkware Heavy. Each measures 8.5” tall and 5.5” wide. This listing is for an old vintage pair of Foo Dog sculptures Marked/Signed on the back "1962 SMC” and there are the stickers on the bottom which the writing wore out overtime but I can make out Museum and made in New York. They’re handcrafted and made out of heavy chalkware which most sculptures were made out of in that time era. Being from 1962 (63 years old) they held up pretty well being made out of chalkware. There are spots that were painting in what happens is over time the paint has some spots that wear off. Also one of the foo dogs is missing one tooth. From afar you cannot see the spots that were painted over. See all photos.
